Born on 1st September 1946 in Douglas on the Isle of Man. He attended Braddan Village Primary and Murray's Road schools, Oswald Road Primary in Manchester, Humpy Bong and Cribb Island State schools in Brisbane Australia, and Scarboro State School in Queensland Australia. Barry's first guitar was a ninth Christmas gift from his parents, which he learned to play with open chord tuning. Barry was influenced by The Mills Brothers, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, and Stevie Wonder. Barry lives in Miami Beach and Buckinghamshire and enjoys swimming, boating, tennis and reading. Solo projects include "Now Voyager" and the soundtrack for "Hawks," a film based on an original idea by Barry and David English.
